More than 20 years ago, Taylore B. Sinclaire began studying personalities and, specifically, how individuals changed in their appearance and demeanor depending on what they were wearing.  As this research evolved, she compiled a revealing study of personal awareness, developing it into a system that enhances the life of anyone who is ready to discover their true essence and transform their life for the better.

While working in the fashion industry as a model and stylist, Taylore began to question a phenomenon whose answer would become the greatest key to personal transformation and the secret to her success: How could one dress look perfect on one model and completely wrong on another model of the same size, body shape and coloring?  This unrelenting question motivated her to take the first step toward creating the art and science of combining internal body energetics with the energetics of style, design, textures, patterns and color radiances in the clothes we wear.
 
Taylore’s education and experience in art, design, psychology and philosophy were complemented by careers in advertising, fashion design, interior design and image consulting.  Her history reflected a seemingly unconnected diversity, which often led to her feeling inadequate and confused, wondering if she would ever find one arena to succeed in. But through these disparate experiences, she learned an important fact that would later play a pivotal role in her life: our external image often has nothing to do with who we really are on the inside.

Taylore discovered that there were no fashion analysis systems that combined color radiance, energetics, style and personality, bringing together her passion for both fashion and psychology.  From her studies, she began to realize that color-matching theories to date, as developed and practiced in the mainstream, could not accurately profile people correctly and reliably because they only dealt with the surface; usually hair, eye and skin color.  Intuitively, she knew something was missing because, by itself, color was not enough.

She continued to search for a way to more accurately identify a person’s innate style, their deeper persona, without relying on color, personality or opinion.  She spent years researching and working with several thousand women, men and children in presentations, seminars and personal consultations. It was from these experiences that her insight and acute sense of perception exposed her to a revelation in human behavior that resulted in discovering a phenomenon in inter- and intrapersonal communications. 

This breakthrough led to the next milestone in her work, which proved to be a radical advance in her thinking. She discovered that the energy of different shapes, color radiances, patterns and textures could be combined into particular “tones” that accurately represented the cellular vibration of a human being. 

She found that the unique “tone” we vibrate and transmit is reflected back to us by the people and experiences in our lives. This theory provided the basis for the comprehensive process that would enable people to realize their core essence, what she calls their Tone.   

Taylore discovered that each person has a fixed set of inner core traits that are uniquely organized into individual groups, which she categorized as the four Core Essensce Tones.  She found that once a person knew his or her Tone, they were able to fully discover and experience their deepest Essensce™ and express it in the shapes, color radiances, patterns and textures of the clothes they wore, and IlluminEssensce® was born.

Taylore found it fascinating (and a bit ironic) that as a young woman she worried about being successful in life because of her varied interests.  With her accumulated knowledge of Energetics, she could now clearly understand that her diversity was exactly what was needed to bring her newfound technology into existence.
